My handsome velvet hippo… my pibble blue boy… the miracle distemper survivor himself is now SIX YEARS OLD. Where has the time gone?
This boy came home with me barely a month after I lost Mani. I was grieving. I wasn’t sure the time was right. I wasn’t sure I could handle a six-month-old, already quite big and strong and high energy boy. But there is no doubt in my mind that he saved me after losing my second soul dog far too soon. As it seems to always go with dogs, we saved each other.
And so, as we do every year on birthdays, we celebrated by making some portraits that we’d like to share with you. I hope they make you smile.
