CT '19 food prep, part one: Stella & Chewy's delivery
I've made some adjustments with regard to the food I'm packing for Mani on this trip. Kat & Steve, the great folks at Merlin's Pet Shop in Lubbock, gave us a lot of samples of various Stella & Chewy's freeze-dried dinner patties and raw coated kibble, and Mani loves it all. They are also very high in calories, which Mani will need on the trail, so we placed a large order from Merlin's, as well as a smaller order making use of a coupon I received from Chewys.com. We received the first order from Chewys.com earlier this week. Below is a cell phone video of Mani's reaction when the FedEx driver dropped off our package. She knew exactly what it was. As it turns out, Kat, owner of Merlin's Pet Shop, decided to call the sales rep at Stella & Chewy's and tell them about us. She told them we're preparing to finish the CT in a couple of weeks, and that we're a pretty active duo in general, always going on adventures. They ended up sending us another large bag of freeze-dried dinner patties and another small bag of freeze-dried treats with their best wishes. I was pretty stoked. I'm sure Mani will be, too.
